IHC Grants Protective Bail to YouTuber Rajab Butt and TikToker Naniwala

The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has granted protective bail to YouTuber Rajab Butt and TikToker Nadeem Naniwala, giving both men temporary relief from arrest as they return to Pakistan. The order ensures that neither will be detained upon landing at Islamabad Airport on Wednesday.

The decision was issued by Justice Raja Inam Amin, who directed authorities not to arrest YouTuber Rajab Butt or Nadeem Naniwala until they personally appear before the court. The judge also instructed both influencers to present themselves on Wednesday for further proceedings.

The protective bail comes at a time when YouTuber Rajab Butt and Naniwala are facing several cases. These include allegations linked to cybercrime and other legal complaints filed in different regions. Their legal team argues that the accusations are spread across multiple jurisdictions, making it difficult for the influencers to defend themselves without court protection.

Lawyer Ahad Khokhar, who represented the two social media figures, informed the court about the nature of the cases and stressed the need for legal safeguards. He said that both men intend to face the charges and cooperate with the law but require protection from arrest upon arrival.

The Islamabad High Court acknowledged the concern and allowed temporary relief in the form of protective bail. This will enable the influencers to appear before relevant courts without the fear of immediate detention.

Authorities have been directed to ensure that both men are able to enter Pakistan and attend court proceedings without interference. Their cases will be taken up once they appear before the bench as ordered.
