Pakistani actor Imran Abbas has shared a heartfelt tribute to one of the country’s most respected educationists and social reformers, Dr. Arfa Sayeda Zehra, following her passing in Lahore at the age of 83.
The news of Dr. Arfa’s demise deeply saddened many across Pakistan. She was widely known for her remarkable contributions to education, social awareness, and intellectual discourse.
Taking to Instagram, Imran Abbas expressed his sorrow and reflected on his last meeting with the late scholar. The Noor ul Ain star shared a touching memory from Dubai, where he saw Dr. Arfa struggling to eat at breakfast.
“I fed her porridge with my own hands, though she kept refusing — exactly like my mother in her last days,” he recalled. “I felt an unexplainable fear at that moment, as if something was about to happen.”
Imran Abbas went on to describe how he took Dr. Arfa back to her room in a wheelchair, praying for her long life and good health. “But today, as she has left this world, it feels as though we’ve lost a truly precious gem — a rare pearl,” he wrote.
The actor also expressed his deep gratitude for Dr. Arfa’s wisdom and guidance. “Her rare and beautiful words will remain a guiding light in our lives,” he added, concluding his message with a prayer: “Rest in peace Dr. Syeda Arifa… Beshak ‘Inna Lillahe Wa Inna Elehe Rajeoon.’”

According to her family, Dr. Arfa Sayeda Zehra will be laid to rest in her family graveyard at Cavalry Ground, Lahore. Her passing marks the end of an era in Pakistan’s educational and intellectual landscape, leaving behind a legacy that will continue to inspire generations.
