Actor Imran Khan is preparing for his comeback with the film Adhoore Hum Adhoore Tum and has made it clear that he will handle his return on his own terms. In a recent interview with an Indian media outlet, Imran Khan says he is stepping away from the industryโs traditional PR machinery and will not hire a manager to guide his career.
Imran Khan says he has experienced working with managers and PR teams in the past but now prefers to control his own work. โI have worked at a time where I had a PR and manager. Having had a taste of it and knowing what it brings to your world, I now donโt want those things,โ he said.
He explained that managers often prioritize steady employment over the actorโs personal choices. โThe managerโs pay percentage depends on keeping me steadily employed, because of which he may push me to do things I donโt want. I donโt want them to find work for me, I want to find my work,โ Imran Khan says.
The actor also discussed the time-consuming nature of PR. Engaging in publicity strategies requires hours of planning, reviewing results, and constant coordination with the PR team. He feels that audiences are increasingly aware of such strategies and often question whether actions are PR stunts. โNow the public looks at everything without speculation, is this a PR stunt, what is the angle behind it. Iโd rather work at my own pace,โ he added.
Adhoore Hum Adhoore Tum will feature Bhumi Pednekar and Gurfateh Pirzada alongside Imran Khan. The film marks his return to acting after a significant hiatus and reflects his decision to work independently without external pressure.
Industry experts note that Imran Khan says his approach is unusual in Bollywood, where PR and management often play a major role in an actorโs career. By handling his career personally, he aims to focus on creative choices and authenticity rather than strategic promotion.
Fans eagerly await the release of Adhoore Hum Adhoore Tum, curious to see how Imran Khanโs independent approach will influence both his performance and audience reception.
