Kim Kardashian has clarified why certain social media posts featuring Meghan Markle and Prince Harry were removed shortly after Kris Jennerโs 70th birthday celebration. The reality star addressed the matter during her appearance on Khloรฉ Kardashianโs podcast, Khloรฉ in Wonder Land.
The photos were initially shared online following Jennerโs James Bond-themed party at Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sรกnchezโs Beverly Hills home. Kim explained that the images sparked speculation, but the situation was completely innocent. โMom and Meghan have been friends for some years now, and they have a really sweet relationship,โ Kim said.
Kim revealed that the decision to remove the images was related to timing. โI think they realized it was Remembrance Day, and they didnโt want to be seen at a party,โ she explained. Out of respect for the day honoring fallen members of the armed forces, the photos were deleted shortly after being posted.
She also noted that the couple had attended the Baby2Baby charity gala the same evening without issue. โThat was fine, but maybe not partying and dancing on the dance floor or whatever,โ Kim added, explaining why the photos were deleted.
The reality star expressed frustration over how the situation was perceived. โIf we just made it light and funny, it would have been received differently. I hated how that was received for everyone,โ she said. Kim emphasized that the controversy was unnecessary and exaggerated.
She further clarified that everyone involved acted with good intentions. The brief appearance of the royal couple in photos was never meant to be controversial. Once concerns about timing were raised, the decision was made respectfully.
Kim concluded by stressing that the removal of images was purely out of consideration. The photos were deleted to avoid misunderstandings and to honor Remembrance Day, highlighting the importance of context in social media posts.
