King Charles Strips Brother Andrew of ‘Prince’ Title Amid Sex Scandal

King Charles Strips Brother Andrew of ‘Prince’ Title Amid Sex Scandal

LONDON – In a major royal development, King Charles has officially stripped his brother, Prince Andrew, of his royal title and instructed him to vacate his residence.

The decision follows years of public criticism and controversy surrounding Prince Andrew’s association with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Buckingham Palace issued a formal statement confirming King Charles’ directive.

According to the statement, “Prince Andrew will now be known as Andrew Mountbatten Windsor. His lease on the Royal Lodge has provided him with legal protection to stay in residence. Formal notice has now been served to surrender the lease, and he will move to alternative private accommodation. These actions are necessary, notwithstanding his continued denial of the allegations.”

The Palace also emphasized that Their Majesties’ sympathies remain with the victims and survivors of all forms of abuse, signaling a firm stance on accountability within the royal family.

Prince Andrew has faced ongoing criticism for his ties to Epstein, with repeated calls for his removal from royal duties. The situation escalated earlier this year after renewed scrutiny over sexual assault allegations linked to Epstein’s network.

Earlier this month, Andrew relinquished his Duke of York title and other royal honors but continued to use the title “Prince.” The latest move by King Charles now marks a decisive end to his royal privileges and residence rights.

This decision represents one of the most significant disciplinary actions within the British monarchy in recent years. It highlights King Charles’ intent to maintain integrity, transparency, and public trust in the royal institution amid ongoing scrutiny.
