A local court in Lahore has extended the physical remand of famous Pakistani YouTuber Saad ur Rehman, better known as Ducky Bhai, for another four days.
The YouTuber was produced before Judicial Magistrate Naeem Wattoo at the district courts on Thursday. The case has gained wide attention as authorities continue investigations into his alleged involvement in promoting an online gambling application.
During the hearing, the government prosecutor stated that the investigation was still ongoing. He informed the court that several names had surfaced during the initial five-day remand and assured that complete details would be presented in the next hearing. Based on this, the prosecution requested an extension in custody.
However, Ducky Bhai’s lawyer, Chaudhry Usman Ali, strongly opposed the plea. He argued that there was no need for further remand and urged the court to release his client. Despite the defense’s objections, the magistrate granted the prosecution’s request and extended the physical remand by four more days.
Ducky Bhai, one of Pakistan’s most popular YouTubers with millions of followers, was arrested on August 16 at Lahore airport. His detention has sparked debate across social media, with many of his fans expressing concern over the charges.
According to officials, the case revolves around alleged promotion of an online gambling platform, which is illegal under Pakistani law. If proven, the charges could result in serious legal consequences.
The investigation continues, and the court is expected to review updates in the coming days. For now, Ducky Bhai remains in custody as authorities collect more evidence.
