The trailer for the highly anticipated Pakistani film Aag Lage Basti Mein has been released, featuring Mahira Khan and Fahad Mustafa in lead roles. The movie is set for an Eid-ul-Fitr release, attracting widespread attention across Pakistan’s entertainment industry.
Written and directed by Bilal Atif Khan, the film combines comedy, action, and romance. It tells the story of Barkat, played by Fahad Mustafa, an honest but struggling man, and his wife Almaas, portrayed by Mahira Khan, who becomes frustrated with his idealistic approach to life. Their evolving relationship forms the emotional core of the story.
The trailer showcases intense action sequences, humor, and glimpses of marital tension. Scenes hint that Barkat’s involvement in criminal activities may lead to serious consequences, keeping audiences intrigued.
Mahira Khan spoke about her role at the trailer launch, stating that her character is more confrontational than those she has played before. She said the script’s strength helped her prepare for the part.
“Bilal insisted this role was meant for me. I observed people and prepared extensively. The script made it easier to get into the character,” Mahira Khan explained.
The film also introduces social media sensation Samra Shehzadi to mainstream cinema. She described her first appearance on the big screen as both emotional and exciting. Veteran actor Salahuddin Tunio, Fahad Mustafa’s father, will appear alongside his son for the first time, adding emotional depth to their scenes.
The supporting cast includes Javed Sheikh as a crime boss and Tabish Hashmi in a negative comedic role. Fahad Mustafa described the film as a “paisa vasool” entertainer, promising audiences a mix of drama, laughter, and thrill.
