Maria B. Weighs In on the Farshi Shalwar Fashion Trend

Fashion designer Maria B. recently took to social media to offer her perspective on the popular Farshi Shalwar trend, which has garnered significant attention, particularly ahead of Eid al-Fitr. While the trend has become part of meme culture and is now widely embraced, Maria B. advised women to be cautious about adopting this style based on their body type.

In a video message, Maria B. explained that the Farshi Shalwar is best suited for tall, slim, and younger women. She expressed that while she could envision her daughter pulling off the floor-grazing style, she personally would not wear it at the age of 43.

She also highlighted that the trend may not be flattering for women of shorter stature or fuller figures. According to Maria, these women should consider alternative styles, as the Farshi Shalwar might not accentuate their features as desired.

In her video, Maria showcased four different outfits—two with the Farshi Shalwar and two with cigarette pants. It was clear that she felt more confident and elegant in the cigarette pants ensemble, reaffirming her point about selecting the right style for one’s body type.
