Aliya Fakhri, the 43-year-old sister of Bollywood actress Nargis Fakhri, has been arrested in connection with the brutal murders of her ex-boyfriend, Edward Jacobs, and his friend, Anastasia Ettienne, in Queens, New York.
The incident occurred on November 2 when Aliya allegedly entered a two-story garage where Jacobs and Ettienne were asleep. Authorities claim she shouted, “You’re all going to die today,” before setting the building on fire.

A witness heard the threat and saw the garage quickly engulfed in flames. Ettienne, alerted by the fire, tried to warn Jacobs but was unable to escape in time. Both victims tragically died from smoke inhalation and burns.
Aliya, facing charges of first-degree and second-degree murder, as well as arson, reportedly struggled with the rejection after Jacobs ended their relationship a year ago. Sources reveal she had tried to rekindle the relationship, but Jacobs had made it clear it was over.
Jacobs’ mother recalled his rejection of Aliya, stating that he had firmly told her, “I’m done with you.” Authorities believe Aliya’s actions were premeditated, as she had previously threatened to set fire to Jacobs’ residence.
The case has shocked both the local community and those familiar with the family. Nargis Fakhri, who has not commented publicly on the situation, remains silent. Aliya’s next court date is set for December 9, and if convicted, she could face a life sentence. The tragic event has garnered significant attention due to its horrific nature and the involvement of a high-profile actress.
