Pakistani scriptwriter Nasir Adeeb has publicly apologised to actor Reema Khan after facing severe backlash over his controversial remarks. Adeeb had previously claimed that Reema was scouted in Lahore’s Heeramandi but was rejected for lacking the qualities of a successful actor.
The entertainment community condemned Adeeb’s statements, prompting him to address the controversy in a podcast. He admitted to spreading unverified information and asked Reema for forgiveness, acknowledging his mistake. “May Allah forgive me, and I hope Reema can also pardon me,” he stated.

Reema indirectly responded to the controversy through Instagram posts, referencing poetic verses about human flaws and urging others to refrain from disrespect. In another post, she highlighted the importance of protecting others from harm.
Several celebrities, including Fahad Mustafa, Rabia Anum, and Bushra Ansari, stood in support of Reema. They criticized the growing trend of unverified claims in podcasts and stressed the need to maintain respect in the entertainment industry.
