Netflix has announced a renewed partnership with Japanese animation powerhouse MAPPA Studios. The collaboration will focus on new anime projects streaming exclusively on Netflix.
The agreement builds on previous collaborations between Netflix and MAPPA Studios, which included popular titles such as Ranma 1/2 and Kakegurui. The new deal covers multiple stages of production, with Netflix also supporting merchandise development for upcoming titles.
Manabu Otsuka, President and CEO of MAPPA Studios, highlighted the studio’s commitment to creative and business independence. “We have worked with Netflix on various projects before, but this expanded partnership is based on MAPPA’s core belief in being independent both creatively and in business,” he said.
