Pakistani Celebrities Condemn Indian Airstrikes That Killed Civilians

Airstrikes

Prominent Pakistani stars have spoken out strongly against India’s recent airstrikes that claimed the lives of at least 26 civilians and left 46 injured in multiple parts of Pakistan, including Bahawalpur and Muzaffarabad.

Mahira Khan reposted a tweet by Fatima Bhutto criticizing the aggression and called the attacks “seriously cowardly” in her Instagram story, praying for the country’s safety. Hania Aamir was equally vocal, saying, “You don’t bomb innocent people and call it strategy,” condemning the targeting of civilians. Fawad Khan called the strikes “shameful” and hoped for peace, concluding his message with “Pakistan Zindabad.”

The DG ISPR confirmed that India carried out 24 airstrikes on six civilian areas. In Bahawalpur’s Ahmedpur East, 13 civilians, including two toddlers and seven women, were martyred. A mosque in Muzaffarabad was also hit, resulting in more deaths and injuries, including children.

This wave of condemnation from the entertainment industry reflects the rising national outrage, especially as India failed to provide any evidence linking Pakistan to the April 22 attack in IIOJK.
