Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna’s Pushpa 2: The Rule has shattered box office records, grossing over $94.5 million globally during its extended opening weekend. Directed by Sukumar, the film now holds the title for the highest opening day and weekend collections for any Indian movie, both domestically and internationally.
The Hindi-dubbed version played a significant role, earning $33.7 million and contributing to India’s net earnings of $62.5 million in just four days. On Day 4 alone, the movie added $16.7 million across all languages, with Hindi leading at $10 million. The Telugu version followed with $5.1 million, while Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada versions added smaller amounts to the total.

Internationally, Pushpa 2 garnered $19 million, including $10.5 million from North America, marking the second-biggest opening weekend for an Indian film in 2024 after Kalki 2898 AD. Trade analysts predict the film will cross the Rs 1,000 crore mark by its first or second weekend despite potential dips in weekday collections.
Building on the success of its predecessor, Pushpa: The Rise (2021), this sequel reaffirms the global appeal of Indian cinema. The film’s impressive performance sets new benchmarks, showcasing the star power of Allu Arjun and the growing international interest in Indian films.
