Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has seemingly addressed filmmaker Abhinav Kashyap’s criticism without mentioning him by name. The actor’s response came during the Weekend Ka Vaar episode of Bigg Boss 19.
In a clip from the show, Salman spoke about people who once worked with him but now criticize him publicly. The 59-year-old actor said some former collaborators, even those who once praised him, now go on podcasts and interviews to speak “all kinds of rubbish” simply because they have nothing else to do.
While addressing the contestants, Salman added, “My request to everyone is the same: do some work. No matter how you feel, no matter what you’re going through, you have to get up, take a shower, and show up to work.”
This statement comes after Abhinav Kashyap, the director of Salman’s 2010 blockbuster Dabangg, gave several interviews with harsh remarks about the actor and his family. Kashyap called Salman “ill-mannered” and a “gunda,” claiming the actor prioritizes celebrity power over acting.
He also alleged that the Khan family uses its influence to dominate the industry and punish those who do not comply with them. The director has had a tense relationship with the Khans for over 15 years, despite Dabangg’s massive success.
Abhinav Kashyap, who is the brother of filmmaker Anurag Kashyap, has also worked on films like Jung, Yuva, Paanch, and Besharam. His comments have drawn significant media attention, reigniting discussions about the long-standing feud between him and Salman Khan.
While Salman did not directly name Kashyap, his remarks were widely interpreted as a response to the filmmaker’s statements. The issue has sparked debates on social media and among Bollywood fans, keeping the controversy in the spotlight.
The ongoing Salman Khan Abhinav Kashyap feud highlights the complex relationships in Bollywood and how past disputes continue to affect public perception.
