Renowned Pakistani actress Sarwat Gilani has shared her negative experiences while working on the Jawani Phir Nahi Aani film series. She alleged unprofessional behavior and lack of respect from superstar Humayun Saeed and director Nadeem Baig.
In a recent interview, Sarwat Gilani revealed that her role in the first film was cut short without prior notice. She expressed disappointment over being contacted only when the filmmakers needed her and ignored otherwise.
For the second installment, Gilani initially hesitated to participate due to her past experience. However, she agreed after director Nadeem Baig promised a complete character arc. Unfortunately, she said, βMy role was again reduced in Jawani Phir Nahi Aani 2, and I wasnβt treated well during its promotions.β
She also disclosed being excluded from the filmβs London promotional tour. Despite booking her own tickets, she was not informed about the schedule. βI found out later that the entire team had already left,β Sarwat Gilani said.
Expressing her frustration, Gilani added, βThey only remember me when they need work. They donβt even remember me after the release.β She has decided not to take part in the third installment, emphasizing the importance of dignity and respect for her roles.
Despite the issues, Sarwat Gilani maintained that she still respects Humayun Saeed and Nadeem Baig. βI still meet them with respect, but I will not be part of Jawani Phir Nahi Aani 3. Iβve learned my lesson,β she stated firmly.
