Amid the persistent strain in India-Pakistan relations, Bollywood icon and Kolkata Knight Riders owner Shah Rukh Khan has surprised many by including two Pakistani cricketers in his Caribbean Premier League (CPL) team.
Reports reveal that Khan’s CPL franchise, the Trinbago Knight Riders (TKR), has secured the services of experienced fast bowler Mohammad Amir and rising off-spinner Mohammad Usman Tariq for the upcoming season.

Mohammad Amir is no stranger to the CPL, having already featured in four editions of the tournament. Over 39 matches, he has claimed 51 wickets at a strikingly low average of 18.09.
On the other hand, Mohammad Usman, who recently impressed in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) with Quetta Gladiators, is gearing up for his CPL debut. He took 10 wickets in just 5 matches in the most recent PSL campaign.
Shah Rukh Khan, a well-known sports enthusiast, owns several cricket teams globally. His CPL team, TKR, is among the league’s most decorated, boasting four championship titles.
