Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan visited veteran actor Dharmendra at Mumbaiโs Breach Candy Hospital on Monday night, following false reports about the actorโs death. Accompanied by his son Aryan Khan, Shah Rukh paid a quiet, private visit to check on the health of the legendary actor, who was admitted earlier in the day.
According to hospital sources, Dharmendra was initially reported to be in critical condition and on ventilator support. However, his family later confirmed that he was stable and under observation. Despite efforts to keep the visit low-profile, videos of Shah Rukh and Aryan arriving at the hospital quickly circulated on social media.
Along with Shah Rukh Khan, several other Bollywood stars, including Salman Khan and Govinda, visited the ailing actor. The trio shares a long history of friendship and respect with Dharmendra, who remains one of Indian cinemaโs most beloved figures.
Late Monday night, multiple Indian news outlets mistakenly reported that Dharmendra had passed away. The rumors prompted an immediate response from his family, who strongly denied the claims and urged the public to avoid believing unverified reports.
Dharmendraโs daughter, actress Esha Deol, issued a statement on social media condemning the false news. โThe media seems to be in overdrive and spreading fake reports. My father is stable and recovering. We request privacy and thank everyone for their prayers,โ she wrote.
His wife, Hema Malini, also expressed frustration over the spread of misinformation. โWhat is happening is unforgivable. How can responsible channels spread false news about someone who is responding to treatment and recovering?โ she said.
Fans of Dharmendra have since flooded social media with messages of support and well wishes for his speedy recovery. The heartfelt gesture from stars like Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan reflects the deep bond and mutual respect that unite generations of Bollywood icons.
