Sonam Kapoor kicked off the Dussehra celebrations by sharing a series of stunning photos on her Instagram, featuring a delightful surprise—her son Vayu posing alongside her.
For the festive occasion, she wore a gorgeous anarkali outfit from the Pakistani designer label Zara Shahjahan. The white anarkali, embellished with red floral patterns, had a closed neckline, golden zari accents on the bust, and red piping. She completed the look with a festive white and orange striped silk dupatta.

In her caption, Sonam expressed, “May Maa Durga bless us with passion, strength, courage, and grace… as Vayu playfully pulls me away to join the festivities. Happy Navratri! Happy Dussehra.”
Some of the photos feature Vayu embracing his mother, although Sonam chose not to show his face. He was dressed in a stylish grey and white full-sleeved shirt paired with matching grey trousers, perfectly enhancing the festive photoshoot.
Sonam opted for minimal accessories, wearing a red choker with a striking golden pendant, golden earrings, and styled her hair in a tidy bun. She also held a bouquet of lotuses, completing her festive appearance.
The photoshoot quickly attracted numerous likes and comments from her Instagram followers. Her husband, Anand Ahuja, left a touching comment saying, “Miss you so much,” while actress Bhumi Pednekar shared a red heart emoji.
