Grammy Awards producer Ben Winston has dismissed rumors that Taylor Swift will perform at the 2026 ceremony. He called the speculation completely false.
In an interview with HITS, Winston explained that the rumors started after a report on the outletโs HITS List. He emphasized that the report was never based on confirmed information.
โThe only reason people think Taylor Swift might be performing is because HITS printed it. But HITS just totally made that up,โ Winston said. He added that he keeps getting asked about it as if it were true. Winston jokingly described it as a โfull-circle rumor,โ highlighting how quickly false information can spread online.
The Recording Academy has already confirmed performers for the 68th Grammy Awards. Sabrina Carpenter, Olivia Dean, SOMBR, Leon Thomas, and the Marรญas will appear on stage. Trevor Noah will host, and Doechii and Harry Styles are scheduled as presenters.
Taylor Swift will also not be competing for awards at this yearโs ceremony. Her latest album, The Life of a Showgirl, was released on October 3, 2025, missing the eligibility window. The 2026 Grammys consider albums released between August 31, 2024, and August 30, 2025.
Fans had hoped for a Taylor Swift performance due to her record-breaking tours and popularity. However, the official lineup confirms that she will not appear on stage. Winstonโs clarification puts an end to the ongoing speculation.
The situation highlights how rumors about major artists can quickly gain traction, especially online. While fans eagerly discuss potential surprises, organizers urge the public to rely on confirmed announcements.
With the ceremony scheduled for February 1, 2026, attention is now focused on the confirmed performers and presenters. Despite the absence of Taylor Swift, expectations for a memorable show remain high.
