Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor, childhood friends with Bollywood lineage, share a bond that goes back to their early years. Both raised in families with deep ties to the film industry, their fathers, David Dhawan and Shakti Kapoor, often worked together, leading the two future stars to cross paths on film sets.
In a recent chat with YouTuber Shubhankar Mishra, Varun recalled a hilarious and dramatic childhood incident involving Shraddha. He revealed that when they were just eight years old, Shraddha took him up a mountain to confess her feelings, but a confused Varun rejected her.

However, the story didn’t end there. Varun shared that two years later, during Shraddha’s tenth birthday party, things took a playful turn. Shraddha, still holding onto the memory of the rejection, had four of her admirers confront Varun and demand to know why he didn’t like her. The situation escalated to a point where Shraddha orchestrated a playful “revenge,” having the boys beat Varun up for not accepting her proposal.
Despite this childhood drama, the two actors remain close friends, with Varun even making a cameo in Shraddha’s latest film, Stree 2.
