MUMBAI: Tiger Shroff was reportedly not the original target of the firing incident in Mumbai, according to police. On October 21, Mumbai Police revealed that another prominent celebrity was allegedly the intended target.

Investigators suspect the shooters changed their plans after failing to reach the original target because of tight security. They allegedly turned their attention to Shroff instead.

The development comes as Mumbai Police investigates the shooting and questions three suspects arrested in Kota, Rajasthan. A local court granted Maharashtra Police a 48-hour transit remand to bring the accused to Mumbai.

The suspects were kept overnight at Railway Colony police station in Kota under strict security. Mumbai Crime Branch personnel and Rajasthan Police maintained security around the premises.

Police reportedly changed their initial plan to transport the suspects overnight. Instead, officers kept them in Kota under an alternative security arrangement known as “Plan B.”

Railway Colony police station officer Ramswaroop Meena confirmed that the court had granted the accused 48-hour transit remand. Maharashtra Police subsequently began transporting them to Mumbai for further investigation.

Details of the Shooting Incident

The incident occurred around 7 pm on Sunday in Mumbai’s Juhu area. Tiger Shroff was reportedly leaving a football club when the accused allegedly opened fire at his car.

The actor escaped direct gunshot injuries. However, his driver sustained injuries during the incident.

Hours after the shooting, the Lawrence Bishnoi gang claimed responsibility for the attack. A purported gang member named Anil Pandit made the claim in an audio recording.

The speaker alleged that Shroff had been warned previously. He also claimed the actor was targeted because he continued associating with Bollywood actor Salman Khan.

The recording reportedly included threats against people in the film industry who worked with Salman Khan or refused to follow the gang’s demands. However, these statements represent claims made in the recording and have not been independently established.

Suspects Arrested in Rajasthan

According to police sources, the three suspects were arrested while travelling on a train. Investigators are examining their alleged involvement and the circumstances surrounding the attack.

Sources also claimed that the shooters received an advance payment of INR 50,000. They were allegedly promised additional money and employment opportunities abroad after completing the operation.

After the shooting, the suspects reportedly informed their handlers that the operation had been completed. Investigators are working to verify these claims and establish the alleged roles of everyone involved.

Police have registered a case under Sections 109(1) and 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Sections 3 and 25 of the Arms Act have also been invoked.

Investigation Continues Into the Alleged Target

The latest revelation has raised further questions about the motive behind the shooting. Police are investigating why the alleged attackers selected Tiger Shroff after reportedly failing to reach their original target.

Investigators are also examining the alleged links between the suspects and the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Their inquiries include the financial arrangements, communications, and planning connected to the incident.

The 48-hour transit remand will allow Maharashtra Police to bring the suspects to Mumbai for questioning. Further investigation is expected to clarify the intended target and the circumstances surrounding the attack.
