Saudi Arabia has welcomed the worldโs most popular YouTuber, MrBeast, as part of the kingdomโs growing entertainment push. The online star is in Riyadh to launch Beast Land, a theme park inspired by his videos.
MrBeast, whose real name is James Donaldson, recently hit 100 billion views. He told Reuters that the park allows fans to experience his elaborate endurance challenges in real life. โOne of the top requests I get is: I want to be in a MrBeast videoโฆ So now we are creating that in real life,โ he said.
Beast Land combines rollercoasters with American Gladiator-style games. In one attraction, players risk falling to cushioned doom if they fail a simple timing challenge. The park is lit in neon blue and aims to bring MrBeastโs unique style of entertainment to fans visiting Saudi Arabia.
The 27-year-old YouTuber said 70% of his fans are outside the U.S., and Saudi Arabia was chosen for its accessible studio spaces and growing entertainment infrastructure. His visit aligns with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salmanโs Vision 2030, which aims to diversify the economy and expand entertainment options across the kingdom.
Over the past decade, Saudi Arabia has transformed from a conservative nation with limited entertainment to a vibrant hub. Riyadh now hosts near-daily events, including concerts, sports competitions, and cultural festivals. The arrival of international stars like MrBeast, Cristiano Ronaldo, Naomi Campbell, and Sofia Vergara highlights this shift.
MrBeastโs project also reflects the kingdomโs growing strategy of attracting global talent with massive incentives. While he has sometimes faced controversyโsuch as a legal complaint in Mexico over a videoโDonaldson remains optimistic about expanding his reach internationally.
Beast Land is now open, giving fans a chance to step into the world of one of the most famous YouTubers in the world.
