Zakir Khan Announces Break from Stage Shows, Prioritizes Health 'Before Itโ€™s Too Late'

Mumbai โ€“ Popular Indian comedian Zakir Khan has announced a long sabbatical from stage performances. He credits this decision to ongoing physical and mental health concerns.

Zakir Khan shared a heartfelt message on Instagram under the heading โ€œThe Health Update.โ€ He revealed that he has been unwell for a year, yet continued touring due to the demands of his schedule.

He described performing 2โ€“3 shows per day, enduring sleepless nights, early flights, and irregular meals. Though he loves being on stage, he admitted that the toll on his health became too much. Specifically, he said:

โ€œIโ€™ve been touring for the last ten years… touring this extensively is not good and very healthy. โ€ฆ Iโ€™ve been unwell for a year, but I had to workโ€ฆโ€

He also expressed regret at ignoring his health and concluded that it was best to pause now “before itโ€™s too late.”

To accommodate his health needs, Zakir will limit performances during his upcoming India tour, titled โ€œPapa Yaar.โ€ This tour will run from October 24 through January 11 of next year, covering cities like Vadodara, Ahmedabad, Delhi, Bangalore, Kolkata, Bhopal, Udaipur, Jodhpur, and Mangalore.

Notably, he will not perform in Indore and instead invited fans to attend the Bhopal shows.
