Multiple WhatsApp Numbers Now Supported on a Single Phone

WhatsApp has introduced a long-awaited feature that allows users to run two distinct accounts on a single Android smartphone, expanding on its existing capability of using one account on multiple devices. This feature, reminiscent of Telegram’s functionality, has been in testing with WhatsApp’s beta users and is gradually being introduced to the stable version.

With the ability to run two separate WhatsApp accounts on a single device, users no longer need to carry multiple smartphones or employ third-party app cloning features. This feature is particularly useful for managing both personal and work accounts on the same device.

To set up a second WhatsApp account, users need an additional phone number and SIM card or a device with multi-SIM or eSIM support. Even if the second SIM card is in a different device, users should be able to create a second WhatsApp account, provided they can receive the necessary security code for login.

To create the second account, users can navigate to WhatsApp settings, click on the arrow next to their name, select “Add account,” and follow the provided instructions. WhatsApp allows users to manage privacy and notification settings independently for both accounts.

It’s important to note that the multi-account feature is not yet available to all users and is gradually rolling out. It may take a week or two for the feature to become available to all WhatsApp users in Pakistan.
