It’s important to note that Naseem Shah’s injury had forced him to miss the ICC World Cup 2023. The right-arm fast bowler is expected to be sidelined for an estimated three to four months due to this injury.
The injury occurred during the Asia Cup 2023 in Pakistan’s second match against India, in the 46th over. Following his departure from the field on the designated reserve day for the match, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced that he would not be able to participate in the remainder of the tournament. The injury specifically affected a muscle just below Naseem’s bowling shoulder and was unrelated to any previous shoulder issues.
