A minimum of 14 soldiers were killed in an attack in Gwadar

An unfortunate incident occurred on November 3, 2023, when terrorists ambushed a convoy of Pakistan Army soldiers traveling from Pasni to Ormara in Gwadar District, Balochistan, resulting in the martyrdom of at least 14 soldiers, as reported by the military’s Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR). The ISPR further stated that a sanitization operation is underway in the area, with a firm commitment to tracking down and bringing the perpetrators of this heinous act to justice.

The statement emphasized the unwavering determination of Pakistan’s security forces to eradicate terrorism from the country, highlighting that the sacrifices made by these brave soldiers only strengthen their resolve.

Notably, this tragic incident follows previous acts of violence in the region, including a suicide bombing during an Eid Miladun Nabi procession in Mastung in late September, where over 60 people lost their lives, and an attack on the Zhob Garrison in northern Balochistan in July, resulting in the martyrdom of nine security personnel, with three more soldiers losing their lives in an attack in the Sui district, as confirmed by ISPR.
