One family from Al Ain shared their ordeal, saying their flight from Sharjah to Lahore on December 10 was cancelled after traveling 148 kilometers. They were rescheduled for a Dubai to Lahore flight on December 11, which was again cancelled upon arrival.
โSuch mismanagement is unacceptable,โ Ayesha, a family member, told Daily Pakistan. โWe were not informed in advance, and this is the second time we traveled all the way to the airport only to find out the flight was cancelled.โ
The airline provided inconsistent explanations. Some passengers were told there was a technical issue with the aircraft, while others were informed that the planes had not yet arrived from Pakistan. This lack of clear communication caused further distress, especially for families traveling with heavy luggage.
As of December 12, Air Blue cancels notice for the familyโs Dubai to Lahore flight was followed by a new departure time at 6:45 pm. Despite this, many passengers remain skeptical due to the airlineโs recent track record of cancellations.
Passengers are urging authorities in the UAE to take action against the airline for its mismanagement. The airline has not yet released an official statement explaining the cancellations, leaving travelers uncertain about future flights.
