MUZAFFARABAD: The second phase of the AJK Elections was held across Azad Jammu and Kashmir on July 31. Polling took place in Muzaffarabad Division, covering nine constituencies and all 12 refugee constituencies located in Pakistan. Voting remained peaceful in most areas, while counting continued after polling ended.
The results available so far are unofficial and non-final. The AJK Election Commission will announce the official results after completing the consolidation process.
Early trends show the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leading in several constituencies. The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), independent candidates, and other political parties are also competing in different seats.
In LA-29 Muzaffarabad City-III, PML-N candidate Syed Iftikhar Gillani led with 235 votes from one polling station. PPP candidate Mukhtar Abbasi followed with 73 votes.
In LA-32 Muzaffarabad-VI, Raja Farooq Haider of PML-N secured an early lead with 123 votes. PPP candidate Ashfaq Zafar received 69 votes from the reported polling station.
For LA-34 Jammu-I, results from six polling stations showed PML-N candidate Nasir Hussain Dar leading with 38 votes. PPP’s Abdul Qadir Chauhan secured 10 votes.
A stronger lead appeared in LA-35 Jammu-II Gujranwala, where results from 100 of 142 polling stations placed PML-N candidate Chaudhry Muhammad Ismail ahead with 18,788 votes. Independent candidate Sardar Ghiyas followed with 5,041 votes.
In LA-36 Jammu-III, PML-N candidate Ahsan Hafiz Raza led with 10,248 votes after results from 64 polling stations. PPP candidate Ahsan Ismail Advocate secured 7,040 votes.
Results from 113 of 185 polling stations in LA-37 Jammu-IV showed PML-N candidate Maryam Javed leading with 17,989 votes. Jammu Kashmir United Movement candidate Usman Aleem remained second with 13,600 votes.
In LA-38 Jammu-V, PML-N candidate Chaudhry Zeeshan led with 2,371 votes after results from 16 polling stations. PML-Q candidate Muhammad Akbar Chaudhry received 973 votes.
For LA-39 Jammu-VI, Raja Muhammad Siddique of PML-N secured 4,144 votes from 34 polling stations. PPP candidate Chaudhry Fakhar Zaman followed with 1,807 votes.
In LA-40 Sukkur and Nawabshah, PPP candidate Aamir Abdul Ghaffar was leading with seven votes based on results from two polling stations.
The AJK Elections also covered several Kashmir Valley constituencies. In LA-41 Kashmir Valley-II, PML-N candidate Muhammad Aamir Shah led with 544 votes after results from seven of 19 polling stations. Independent candidate Saba Dewan received 271 votes.
In LA-42 Kashmir Valley-III, PML-N candidate Syed Shaukat Ali Shah led with 692 votes from four polling stations. PPP candidate Asim Sharif Butt secured 57 votes.
Two constituencies have already produced final unofficial outcomes. In LA-43 Kashmir Valley-IV, PML-N candidate Muhammad Yaseen Lone won with 1,276 votes. PPP candidate Javed Butt finished second with 563 votes.
In LA-44 Kashmir Valley-V, PML-N candidate Muhammad Ahmad Raza Qadri secured victory with 1,700 votes. All Jammu Kashmir Muslim Conference candidate Mehr-un-Nisa received 650 votes.
Meanwhile, in LA-45 Kashmir Valley-VI, PPP candidate Abdul Majid Khan was leading with 1,825 votes after results from 11 polling stations. All Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Conference candidate Khawaja Muhammad Dilawar followed with 571 votes.

The AJK Elections remain under way, with vote counting continuing in several constituencies. The Election Commission has reminded the public that these figures are unofficial. Final results will be released only after the complete consolidation of votes.
