Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), participated as the chief guest at the commissioning ceremony for the Pakistan Navy’s 123rd Midshipmen and 31st Short Service Commission (SSC) Course, held at the Pakistan Naval Academy, PNS Rahbar, on Saturday.
Upon his arrival, General Munir received a formal guard of honour from a well-dressed naval contingent, followed by a detailed review of the parade formations.

During the ceremony, he presented awards to cadets who had demonstrated exceptional achievements during their training. Notably, Midshipman Abdul Rehman received the prestigious Sword of Honour for his exemplary performance.
The event was attended by senior naval officials, dignitaries, and the proud families of the graduating officers. The light rain and pleasant weather added a ceremonial charm to the occasion.
In his address, Field Marshal Munir congratulated the graduating officers and commended the Pakistan Navy’s commitment to safeguarding the nation’s maritime interests. He expressed strong faith in the capabilities, discipline, and professionalism of the newly commissioned officers.
