RAWALPINDI: Field Marshal Asim Munir held a high-level meeting with the Commander-in-Chief of the Libyan Arab Armed Forces at General Headquarters. The meeting focused on regional security and military cooperation.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations, Libyan Commander-in-Chief Field Marshal Khalifa Abu Al-Qasim Haftar arrived at GHQ, Rawalpindi. He was accompanied by the Deputy Commander-in-Chief, Lieutenant General Saddam Khalifa Haftar.
Field Marshal Asim Munir warmly welcomed the visiting delegation upon their arrival. Senior officers from the Pakistan Army were also present during the engagement.
During the meeting, both sides discussed matters of mutual interest. The talks focused on the evolving security situation in their respective regions. Regional stability and shared challenges were key points of discussion.
Professional cooperation between the armed forces of Pakistan and Libya was also reviewed. Both leaders emphasized the importance of continued engagement. They agreed that military-to-military ties play a vital role in strengthening bilateral relations.
According to ISPR, Field Marshal Asim Munir reaffirmed Pakistanโs commitment to deeper cooperation with Libya. He expressed support for peace, stability, and institutional development in the North African country.
The Libyan delegation appreciated Pakistanโs role in promoting regional stability. They also highlighted the value of professional exchanges and experience sharing between the two forces.

Earlier, the Libyan Commander-in-Chief arrived at Nur Khan Air Base, Rawalpindi. He was received by Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir upon arrival. A smartly turned-out contingent presented a guard of honor.
During his visit to GHQ, Field Marshal Khalifa Abu Al-Qasim Haftar paid tribute to martyrs. He laid a wreath at the Martyrsโ Monument and offered prayers. The gesture was seen as a mark of respect for Pakistanโs sacrifices.
