Security forces in Balochistan have killed 15 Indian-sponsored terrorists in two separate operations in the districts of Basima and Harnai. The operations were based on actionable intelligence and targeted known hideouts of armed militants.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), an intelligence-based operation was carried out in Harnai district. Security forces acted on reports of the presence of โFitna al Khwarijโ elements. During the operation, troops engaged the terroristsโ hideout and neutralized twelve Indian-sponsored militants. Weapons, ammunition, and explosives were recovered from the site.
In a separate operation in Basima district, security forces tracked a group of terrorists. Using mixed-caliber weapons, troops confronted the militants. After an intense exchange of fire, three Indian-sponsored terrorists were killed. Authorities also seized weapons and explosives from the deceased terrorists, who were involved in multiple violent activities.
Sanitization operations are ongoing to locate and remove any remaining Indian-sponsored terrorists in these districts. Officials emphasized that these operations are part of a wider counterterrorism effort under the โAzm e Istehkamโ vision. This campaign, approved by the Federal Apex Committee on the National Action Plan, aims to eliminate foreign-sponsored terrorism from Pakistan.
Security forces and law enforcement agencies stated that operations against terrorists will continue with full intensity. The focus remains on preventing attacks and dismantling terrorist networks that threaten peace and security in the region.
Authorities also urged local communities to report any suspicious activities to assist ongoing counterterrorism operations. The coordinated efforts between intelligence agencies and field forces demonstrate a strong commitment to maintaining national security.
These recent actions highlight Pakistanโs determination to combat terrorism and prevent external interference in the countryโs internal security. Security officials confirmed that all recovered weapons and explosives will be analyzed to prevent further terrorist threats.
