The ** Balochistan Govt ** has officially launched a large-scale development program across the province. The initiative is being carried out in coordination with the civil administration, the Pakistan Army, and Frontier Corps Balochistan. The programme aims to speed up development and improve public services.
The initiative is being implemented under the Balochistan Special Development Initiative, also known as BSDI. Officials said the programme focuses on delayed and long-pending projects. According to officials, a total of 969 development projects have been included under the BSDI framework. These projects cover all 35 districts of Balochistan. In areas under Frontier Corps Balochistan (North), development schemes worth Rs 8.705 billion are currently underway. Official data shows steady progress on multiple projects. So far, 44 projects have been completed. Work orders for 75 projects have already been issued. Another 90 projects are moving quickly toward completion.
The ** Balochistan Govt ** said that coordination between civilian authorities and security forces has improved project delivery. Officials believe this cooperation has reduced delays and strengthened monitoring. The involvement of the Pakistan Army and FC Balochistan has helped maintain transparency and discipline.
The Chief Minister of Balochistan and the Commander Quetta Corps have set a clear deadline. They confirmed that all projects under both phases of BSDI will be completed by May 30, 2026. A dedicated Project Implementation Unit is supervising the work. The unit is ensuring quality standards and timely completion.
