Jaffer Express Disrupted: 300 Passengers Transported to Quetta via Shuttle Train After Track Explosion

Train operations on the Quetta route remain disrupted after an explosion damaged the railway track between Bakhtiarabad and Damboli. This blast forced the cancellation of the Jaffer Express, a key train traveling from Peshawar to Quetta. Approximately 300 passengers were affected by the incident and were transferred to Quetta via a shuttle train arranged by the authorities.

The explosion occurred on Thursday, causing significant damage to the tracks and forcing the Jaffer Express to halt in Sibi. The passengers aboard were temporarily accommodated at the local circuit house by district administration officials while the situation was being handled.

The blast also targeted the Karachi-bound Bolan Mail, causing partial damage to coach number seven. Fortunately, there were no immediate reports of injuries.

However, the damage to the tracks and the train’s coach led to the suspension of rail traffic for several hours. Security and rescue teams quickly arrived on the scene to conduct a clearance operation and ensure the safety of passengers and the surrounding areas.

The disruption in train services has caused significant delays, especially affecting the Jaffer Express and other trains on the Quetta route. Authorities are working to repair the damaged tracks and resume normal operations. As of now, travelers are urged to check for updates on the status of their trains.

This explosion highlights ongoing security concerns along certain railway routes in Pakistan, and authorities are taking measures to ensure such incidents do not disrupt future train services.

The Jaffer Express, which is crucial for passengers traveling between Peshawar and Quetta, is expected to resume service once the tracks are repaired and cleared.
