Bank AL Habib has launched AL Habib Digital, its newly rebuilt mobile banking application for customers in Pakistan.

The new application represents a major digital upgrade for the bank. It has been developed as a fully native mobile application.

The launch comes as mobile banking continues to expand rapidly across Pakistan. Customers increasingly rely on banking apps for payments and everyday financial services.

Mobile app-based payments represented 78 percent of Pakistan’s digital payments from January to March 2026. Around 2.9 billion transactions were processed through banking applications during the quarter.

For Bank AL Habib, this shift has increased the need for a faster and more convenient mobile banking experience.

The bank operates 1,354 branches across 550 cities. AL Habib Digital aims to complement this physical network with improved digital services.

AL Habib Digital Brings a New Mobile Experience

Unlike a standard application update, AL Habib Digital has been rebuilt as a fully native app.

The new design aims to deliver faster performance and smoother navigation for customers.

Users can customize their dashboard based on the banking services they frequently access. Interactive widgets also provide quick access to important features.

The app supports biometric login for easier account access. It also includes FPIN authentication to provide additional security for transactions.

Customers can choose between Dark and Light Mode based on their preference.

Everyday Banking Features Made Easier

Bank AL Habib has included several features designed to simplify common banking activities.

Customers can make instant fund transfers without registering a payee beforehand. They can also pay bills, recharge mobile balances and make QR payments.

Debit card controls are available directly through the application.

Users can activate, block or unblock their debit cards without visiting a branch. They can also change their PIN and manage transaction limits.

These features reduce the need to contact a helpline or visit a branch for routine banking requests.

Mobile Banking Continues to Grow in Pakistan

The launch comes as Pakistan’s mobile banking sector records significant growth.

The number of mobile banking users has reached 137 million. Retail digital transactions have also nearly doubled over the past year.

This growth reflects changing banking habits as more customers move towards digital financial services.

With AL Habib Digital, Bank AL Habib is strengthening its mobile banking offering for this growing customer base.

The rebuilt application combines payments, transfers, card management and security features within one platform.
