Court Proceedings

During the hearing, Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb asked about Bushra Bibi’s attendance, to which her lawyer, Barrister Salman Safdar, confirmed her presence. The judge urged the legal counsel to approach the cases with diligence and stressed the need to adhere to trial protocols.

The court requested information regarding instances where Bushra Bibi had been granted exemptions from attending trial hearings. Justice Aurangzeb clarified that while the High Court can grant bail, it is within the trial court’s jurisdiction to revoke bail if the accused fails to appear as required. He further assured that such actions would not constitute contempt of the High Court’s orders.

Following these discussions, the court concluded the session and dismissed the FIA’s petition.
