The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has approved a special Eid-ul-Adha allowance for its Muslim employees working in grades BPS-1 to BPS-16. The decision was formally announced through a notification issued by the Finance Wing (General) on May 22, 2026.
According to the notification, the allowance will be equal to one month’s running basic pay. The payment will be calculated based on employees’ running basic pay as of April 30, 2026. The approval was granted by the CDA Chairman to support employees before the Eid-ul-Adha celebrations.
The CDA also confirmed that the allowance will not be limited to permanent staff only. Contract employees, daily-wage workers, and muster roll staff working under the authority will also receive the benefit. However, these workers must meet certain conditions to qualify for the payment.
Officials stated that eligible contract and daily-wage employees should have remained in service during the relevant period. They must also have worked against regular posts for the complete month to receive the Eid allowance.
The notification directed all concerned departments to ensure timely payments before May 25, 2026. The CDA Treasury Division, along with Drawing and Disbursing Officers (DDOs) and Accounts Officers, has been instructed to complete the disbursement process within the given deadline.
The authority emphasized that all eligible Muslim employees should receive the allowance before Eid-ul-Adha. It added that departments must avoid delays and follow the instructions carefully.
The CDA further stated that the expenses for the Eid allowance will be covered through the existing budget allocation for the fiscal year 2025–26. No separate budget has been announced for this purpose.
The notification also mentioned that any financial issues related to additional funds or budget adjustments will be handled by Finance Wing-I. The wing will coordinate with the relevant divisions of the authority to resolve such matters smoothly.
