Field Marshal Asim Munir Highlights Civil Society’s Role in Fighting Negative Propaganda

Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Asim Munir has highlighted the vital role of civil society in countering negative propaganda. He stressed that rejecting personal and vested political agendas is essential for the country’s progress.

According to a statement from the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Field Marshal Asim Munir met participants of the 18th National Workshop on Balochistan at General Headquarters (GHQ). The workshop focused on the socio-economic development and strategic importance of Balochistan.

The Field Marshal praised the resilience and patriotism of Balochistan’s people, stating that the province is crucial for Pakistan’s prosperity. He emphasized that civil society’s efforts are central to promoting public welfare and supporting sustainable development.

Field Marshal Munir also appreciated the initiatives by federal and provincial governments aimed at improving socio-economic conditions in Balochistan. He highlighted people-centric policies designed to harness the province’s economic potential for the benefit of its residents.

“The role of civil society is vital in countering negative propaganda,” he said. “Rejecting personal and vested political agendas is essential for the long-term progress of Balochistan.”

The Chief of Defence Forces warned that India-backed proxy elements are fueling violence and attempting to sabotage development in Balochistan. He affirmed that such threats will be countered by the security forces to maintain peace and stability in the region.

Field Marshal Munir reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to protecting its territorial integrity and ensuring the safety of citizens. He said that the armed forces will continue to safeguard lives and property while supporting initiatives for Balochistan’s growth.

The meeting concluded with a question-and-answer session, during which the Field Marshal addressed participants’ concerns and provided further details on ongoing development and security efforts in Balochistan.
