KP CM Sohail Afridi’s Sindh Trip Gets Extension Under New Schedule

The visit of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi to Sindh has been extended by one day, now covering four days, according to sources. The updated itinerary has been shared with the Commissioner Karachi.

Under the revised schedule, CM Sohail Afridi will meet Sindh Chief Minister on January 12. On the same day, he is also set to visit the Sindh High Court Bar Association. The meeting with FPCCI office-bearers has been cancelled, replaced by discussions with the All Karachi Traders Alliance.

As per the revised schedule, Sohail Afridi will also visit the MWM centre in Karachi to meet party leaders. Earlier, he is scheduled to visit Hyderabad on January 10 as part of his engagements across Sindh.

Sources explained that the revised schedule reflects adjustments made for political and organisational meetings, ensuring a smooth and productive visit.

Both the Sindh government and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leadership coordinated extensively ahead of the visit. Former Sindh Finance Minister Nasir Hussain Shah reportedly contacted PTI Sindh President Haleem Adil Sheikh to confirm protocol arrangements for CM Afridi. The communication emphasized that any issues faced during visits in Punjab would not be repeated in Sindh.

Haleem Adil Sheikh confirmed the Sindh government’s message and conveyed it to Chief Minister Afridi. The KP chief minister expressed gratitude to Sindh authorities and stated he did not require additional protocol. He also emphasized that political activities should be allowed in Sindh according to the constitution and that he should be able to meet party supporters during the visit.

The extended visit and revised schedule highlight the focus on both official and political engagements. CM Afridi’s meetings with party members and key Sindh officials aim to strengthen inter-provincial cooperation while ensuring adherence to constitutional rights.
