Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz said the province is progressing steadily and the future of its youth is bright. She made these remarks during a laptops distribution ceremony at the University of Gujrat on Monday.
Addressing students, the chief minister said all provincial resources are being used to support young people. She added that the Z generation of Punjab is ready to compete at a global level. According to her, the province’s youth are moving in the right direction.
Maryam Nawaz highlighted education and technology initiatives for students. She said scholarships and laptops are being provided to help them build skills. She noted that these laptops are meant to improve learning and open new opportunities for the younger generation.
The chief minister also compared the situation in Punjab with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. She claimed that while Punjab students are receiving scholarships and laptops, youth in KP are facing unrest and road blockades. She said Punjab is focusing on talent and education, while KP is dealing with instability.
Maryam Nawaz told students that the government is standing firmly behind them. She encouraged young people to focus on education and positive activities. She also advised the youth of KP to seek better opportunities and learn from development efforts in Punjab.
The chief minister said road closures in KP do not affect Punjab’s progress. She added that the KP government avoids answering questions about its performance. She expressed regret that many people in KP still lack access to development.
During her speech, Maryam Nawaz also spoke about the political past. She said former prime minister Nawaz Sharif never demanded special privileges during his time in jail. She urged the youth not to repeat the mistakes of political leaders who promote unrest.

The laptops distribution ceremony was attended by students, teachers, and officials. The program is part of the Punjab government’s efforts to promote education, technology, and skill development across the province.
