Doctors at Islamabad’s Polyclinic Hospital have allegedly refused to release the body of a PTI worker, Shafiq Lund, to his family, citing the absence of support from the party leadership.
Shafiq Lund, from Dera Ghazi Khan, reportedly died during a security forces’ crackdown on PTI protests in the capital on November 26.

PTI workers and journalists on X (formerly Twitter) claimed the hospital denied having Shafiq Lund’s body in its mortuary, despite the family identifying it.
A viral video from the mortuary allegedly showed several deceased individuals, with some asserting that Lund’s bloodied body was among them.
Journalist Hamid Mir also alleged that hospital staff refused to hand over the body due to fears of job repercussions.
Meanwhile, PTI’s social media reported at least 10 workers killed during the protests, contradicting Mohsin Naqvi’s claim of no fatalities.
The deceased were identified as Mobeen Malik (Abbottabad), Anees Satti (Murree), Muhammad Iyas (Islamabad), Shafiq Khan (DG Khan), Abdul Rasheed (Balochistan), Wali Muhammad (Pishin), Tariq Khan (Shangla), and Malik Sardar Ali (Mardan), with two remaining unidentified.
