Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has officially launched the E-Bike Scheme for Teachers 2026. This initiative is introduced under the Punjab Education Department. It aims to support government school teachers across Punjab. Both male and female teachers will benefit from this program.
The government has started this E-Bike Scheme to improve transport facilities for teachers. Many teachers face daily travel difficulties. This scheme will help reduce their financial and physical burden. Electric bikes will be provided on easy, interest-free installments.
The program is being implemented through the Punjab Teachers Foundation (PTF). The Bank of Punjab (BOP) is also supporting the financing process. This partnership ensures smooth delivery and transparent distribution.
In the first phase, 5,000 teachers will receive electric bikes. Later, in the second phase, 10,000 more teachers will be included. The selection process will be done through digital e-balloting. This method ensures fairness and transparency for all applicants.
The price of each electric bike is expected to range between Rs. 200,000 and Rs. 250,000. The Punjab Government will provide a subsidy of 30% to 40% on the total cost. This makes the scheme more affordable for teachers. Monthly installments will remain around Rs. 3,600 with zero interest.
The official registration for the E-Bike Scheme will be done through the PTF online portal. Teachers will be able to apply easily using the official website (https://ptf.punjab.gov.pk). The process is designed to be simple and user-friendly.
