Balochistan government has launched a new Electric Bike scheme aimed at supporting youth and women in the province. The initiative is part of the vision of Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti to promote affordable and environmentally friendly transport.
Officials said the Electric Bike scheme is designed to help students, young professionals, and women gain easier access to transportation. The program also encourages the use of clean energy vehicles in the region.
According to government details, the total price of an Electric Bike under the scheme is set at Rs175,000. To make the bikes more affordable, the provincial government will provide a subsidy of 30 percent on each unit.
The subsidy amount is Rs52,500 per bike. This financial support reduces the cost burden for eligible applicants who want to purchase an Electric Bike through the program.
Applicants selected under the scheme must first make a down payment of Rs17,500. After the initial payment, the remaining amount will be paid through monthly installments.
The installment plan has been designed to remain affordable for most people. Successful applicants will pay Rs4,773 per month over a period of two years. This means the full payment will be completed within 24 months.
Officials believe the Electric Bike program will help improve mobility for many people in Balochistan. Access to reliable transportation can support education, employment, and daily activities.
The initiative also supports environmentally friendly travel. Electric bikes produce fewer emissions compared to traditional fuel-powered motorcycles.
To participate in the scheme, applicants must register through the official online portal. The government has provided a dedicated website for submitting applications.
Interested candidates can apply by visiting www.ebike.balochistan.gov.pk. The online system allows applicants to complete the process in several simple steps.
First, applicants must enter their personal details on the registration form. They will also need to select their category, either youth or women.
After entering personal information, applicants must upload the required documents. These documents are necessary for verifying eligibility.
Once the application is completed, applicants should review their information carefully before submitting it. Verification helps ensure the process runs smoothly.
The government will then conduct a transparent balloting process. A lucky draw will determine which applicants will receive the bikes.
Those selected in the draw will become eligible to purchase an Electric Bike under the scheme.
