JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has claimed that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is facing growing international humiliation following Pakistan’s robust military response to Indian aggression. Addressing a rally in Peshawar on Sunday, Fazl argued that Modi’s attempt to exploit the Pahalgam incident for political gain backfired, leaving him politically weakened.
The Pahalgam attack on April 22, which left 26 tourists dead in Indian Occupied Kashmir, was swiftly blamed on Pakistan. This led to Indian strikes on Pakistani territory on May 7, followed by drone attacks and airbase assaults on May 9 and 10. In response, Pakistan launched Operation Bunyan-un-Marsoos, a large-scale counterattack that reportedly forced India to seek a ceasefire the same day.

Fazl criticized India’s suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty, warning that unilateral moves could provoke further escalation. He warned that Pakistan is prepared to respond to what he termed as India’s “water terrorism” by taking control of all five rivers if necessary.
The JUI-F leader also accused India and Israel of conspiring together, calling on Pakistan and the broader Muslim world to stand firmly with the Palestinian people. He urged Arab nations to publicly back Gaza amid Israel’s ongoing military campaign.
