Islamabad: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) and Karandaaz Pakistan have signed an agreement for the digitization of the tax system, in line with the directive from the Prime Minister.
The ceremony was attended by FBR Chairman Malik Amjad Zubair Tiwana and senior officials from the Ministry of Finance. Karandaaz Pakistan will assist FBR in the digitization of its tax system.
Digitization is expected to help reduce expenses for taxpayers. The agreement aims to facilitate the digitization of the economy, broaden the tax net, and ensure sustainable growth in revenues.
FBR is actively focusing on automating its systems and digitizing the economy. FBR Chairman Malik Amjad Zubair Tiwana highlighted efforts to address the challenges of the informal economy and broaden the tax base.
FBR will collaborate with Karandaaz Pakistan to implement FBR’s digital transformation and digitization initiatives. Digitization is expected to further enhance FBR’s efficiency. Chairman FBR Malik Amjad Zubair Tiwana emphasized this aspect during the signing ceremony.
