FIA Busts Umrah Cover Human Smuggling and Exploitation Network in Multan

MULTAN: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has uncovered a suspected network involved in human smuggling and commercial sexual exploitation.

The network allegedly operated under the cover of Umrah travel arrangements. The FIA exposed the network during an immigration check at Multan Airport.

According to officials, FIA immigration personnel noticed suspicious movements involving two passengers. The passengers were stopped during the immigration clearance process.

Both individuals were taken into custody and handed over to the shift in-charge. Officials later began questioning them about their travel arrangements.

The FIA spokesperson said the passengers made important disclosures during the investigation. They allegedly confessed to involvement in commercial sexual exploitation and human smuggling.

Investigators also recovered evidence from their mobile phones. Their chats and other digital material reportedly contained information linked to the alleged activities.

The investigation helped authorities obtain details about an organised exploitation network. Officials are now working to identify other people connected to the suspected operation.

According to the FIA, an agent allegedly arranged the passengersโ€™ travel to Saudi Arabia. The travel was reportedly arranged using Umrah visas.

Investigators suspect the passengers were allegedly being sent to Saudi Arabia for commercial sexual exploitation. The agency is examining the role of the suspected agent and other individuals.

The FIA confiscated the passengersโ€™ mobile phones for further investigation. Other relevant digital material was also secured as evidence.

Both suspects were later transferred to the FIA Anti-Human Trafficking Circle in Multan. The evidence was handed over to investigators for further examination.

The FIA has expanded the investigation to trace additional members of the suspected network. Officials are examining the available digital evidence and travel arrangements.

Authorities are also investigating whether more people were involved in facilitating the alleged movement. The inquiry could lead to further arrests.

The FIA Multan Anti-Human Trafficking Circle is currently conducting further investigation. Legal proceedings will follow according to the findings of the inquiry.

The agency has warned that strict action will be taken against anyone found involved. Officials said efforts will continue to dismantle the suspected human smuggling network.

The case highlights concerns over the misuse of legitimate travel arrangements for illegal activities. Authorities continue to investigate the alleged use of Umrah visas in the suspected operation.
