Chief of Army Staff, Field Marshal Munir, met with Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Ahmed Mohamed Abdelatty in Rawalpindi on Monday. The meeting highlighted the commitment of both countries to strengthen defence and strategic cooperation.
According to the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), the discussions focused on military-to-military contacts, training collaborations, and enhancing regional peace and stability. The Egyptian minister conveyed warm greetings from Egypt’s leadership and expressed the country’s interest in expanding cooperation with Pakistan across multiple sectors.
During the meeting, Field Marshal Munir emphasized the importance of sustained high-level exchanges to address emerging challenges. Both sides underlined the significance of strategic partnerships in the context of evolving regional security dynamics.

Earlier, Field Marshal Munir also met Iranian Secretary of Supreme National Security Council, Ali Ardeshir Larijani. The discussion centered on bilateral cooperation, regional security issues, and strategies to enhance Pakistan-Iran relations.
During this engagement, Field Marshal Munir reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to peace and regional stability. He stressed the need for closer collaboration with Iran to combat terrorism and highlighted the importance of strategic cooperation amid evolving geopolitical challenges. Larijani acknowledged Pakistan’s key role in ensuring regional security and expressed Iran’s commitment to strengthening ties with Pakistan.
