“The companions of the injured terrorists succeeded in taking them away,” DC Shabbir stated. The CTD (Counter-Terrorism Department) has received the body of the deceased terrorist.
He went on to say that the martyrs’ bodies had been brought to the Zhob District Headquarters Hospital.
The DC stated that law enforcement authorities have cordoned off Dhana Sar and the adjacent areas, adding that the CTD has collected evidence from the scene of the event and has begun its investigation.
Meanwhile, Sherani District Health Officer Dr Daulat Khan told Dawn.com that a state of emergency has been declared at the Zhob Civil Hospital, and that despite the weekend, all hospital personnel have been called to duty.
He confirmed that one body had been sent to a hospital.
Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo denounced the “rocket attack and firing” on the checkpoints and extended his condolences for the four security men who were killed.
He also praised the work of the police and the FC in killing one terrorist. “The terrorists’ cowardly actions cannot demoralise the security forces,” he stated in a statement.
“The security forces’ sacrifices serve as a beacon for the nation.” “With firm determination and courage, the security forces ensure the security of the country and the nation,” Bizenjo continued.
He went on to say that the country was “working with its security forces to counter the evil intentions of anti-nation elements.” The chief minister also wished the injured personnel a swift recovery.
Terrorist assaults are on the rise.
After the proscribed TTP broke its truce with the government in November last year, Pakistan saw an increase in terror activity, particularly in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.
A police policeman was injured in a hand grenade attack at Quetta’s “smart” police station a day ago.
On June 24, a police officer was killed and two others were injured in a suicide attack on a police van in Turbat, Balochistan.
Two soldiers were killed a month ago when militants attacked a security checkpoint in the Singwan area of Balochistan’s Kech district, near the Pakistan-Iran border.
Inter-Services Public Relations Director General Maj Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry stated last week at a press briefing that the security forces conducted 13,619 intelligence operations this year, with 1,172 terrorists killed or detained.
“Over 77 operations are carried out on a daily basis by armed forces, police, intelligence agencies, and other law enforcement agencies to eliminate the threat of terrorism,” he stated.
In these operations, 95 soldiers embraced martyrdom, according to DG Sharif.
