Four tourists die in a tragic road accident after a car plunged into a deep ravine in Mansehra while travelling towards Naran. The incident also left one person injured, according to police officials.
The accident took place in the Kawai area of Mansehra. Police said the vehicle lost control before falling into the ravine. Rescue teams and local authorities quickly reached the scene to begin rescue and recovery operations.
Police confirmed that four tourists die in the crash, including two women. All of the victims were residents of Sialkot and were visiting the northern areas for tourism.
One person survived the accident but suffered injuries. The injured individual was provided medical assistance. Officials have not yet released further details about the victim’s condition.
Authorities have started an investigation to determine the exact cause of the accident. Police are examining whether road conditions, vehicle issues, or other factors contributed to the crash.
The incident has once again highlighted the risks of travelling on mountainous roads, especially during the tourist season. Roads leading to northern destinations often include steep slopes and sharp turns, requiring extra caution from drivers.

The latest tragedy follows several deadly road accidents reported in recent months. Earlier this year, seven people, including three women and two children, lost their lives after two luxury vehicles collided near Yakmach in Dalbandin.
Following previous accidents, the Balochistan Transport Department introduced new safety measures for long-distance passenger buses. The department decided to install modern tracking systems in buses operating on major national highways.
The tracking system will allow authorities to monitor bus speeds in real time. If a vehicle exceeds the speed limit, an alert will be sent immediately to the control room.
Officials have also made tracker certificates mandatory before issuing route permits to passenger buses. Legal action and strict penalties will be taken against transport operators involved in overspeeding or reckless driving.
The government hopes these measures will improve road safety and reduce accidents on highways across the country.
