The federal government is expected to cut fuel prices by up to Rs8.50 per litre due to a decline in global crude oil prices, offering potential relief to consumers across Pakistan.
Reports suggest that petrol may drop by Rs8.50 per litre, while high-speed diesel could see a reduction of Rs6.96 per litre. Kerosene oil and light diesel oil are also expected to become cheaper, falling by Rs7.47 and Rs7.21 per litre, respectively.

The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) will submit its final proposals to the government today. After a review and consultation with the Prime Minister, the Ministry of Finance will issue a formal notification.
Officials say the government may still adjust the final prices by changing petroleum levies or taxes. Last month, despite increasing the petroleum levy, the government kept fuel prices unchanged and instead offered relief through lower electricity rates.
