On Friday, Gold Prices in Pakistan surged dramatically, with the cost per tola rising by Rs1,400 to a new high of Rs263,500.
This increase aligns with the global trend, where international gold prices also went up. The All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA) reported that the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold jumped by Rs1,200, reaching Rs225,908.
Globally, the price of gold climbed to $2,518 per ounce, reflecting a $15 gain during the trading session, according to the APGJSA.
In contrast, silver prices in Pakistan saw a rare decline, dropping by Rs50 to Rs2,900 per tola.
Local gold prices remain volatile, influenced by global market trends, currency exchange rates, and domestic demand.
